Hardware Requirements

Hardware Requirements

This guide outlines the recommended hardware specifications and peripherals for running CloudBridal efficiently in your bridal shop. Having the right hardware setup ensures a smooth experience for both your staff and customers.

Recommended System Specifications

CloudBridal is a web-based application that runs in your browser. You should ensure that your computer has a modern web browser installed, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

  • Browser: Up-to-date versions of Chrome or Edge are recommended. If using Safari, please make sure to keep your operating system up to date, as Safari receives updates with new versions of macOS.
  • Internet Connection: CloudBridal is a web-based application, so you will need a reliable internet connection to access the application. It does not support local offline operation.

Recommended Peripherals

Credit Card Processing

We partner with Stripe for integrated credit card processing. You are also welcome to use your existing credit card processing solution if you prefer, however that will require you to manually record payment amounts into CloudBridal to accurately track your orders and financials.

Label Printing

For inventory management and garment tagging:

  • Required Models: DYMO LabelWriter. 550 series or newer recommended.
  • See the Label Printers docs for more information on how to set up your label printer.

Barcode Scanning

Inventory labels can be generated with scannable QR codes, which allows you to scan a label and pull up the inventory item details for the scanned item.

  • Requires any 2D barcode scanner. We recommend getting a bluetooth-compatible scanner for best overall experience, as that can easily be paired with any device that supports a bluetooth connection. While any such scanner should work, our testing and validation was done with the Eyoyo EY-039 2D Bluetooth Barcode Scanner.

Receipt Printers

For printing receipts and sales agreements:

  • CloudBridal supports digital documents, but if you would like to print physical copies, you will need a standard printer.
