Using CloudBridal
Stripe Integration
The Stripe integration allows you to connect to Stripe to process payments within CloudBridal. Here are some use cases:
- In-Person Credit Card Processing: Use a BBPOS WisePOS E card reader to process credit card payments in-person.
- Paid/Reserved Appointments: Capture payment information when booking an appointment, allowing for direct charges or holding a card on file for no-shows.
- Payment Plans: Enable customers to pay installments online.
Connecting to Stripe
To connect to Stripe, visit the Stripe Integration page in CloudBridal settings. Click Connect with Stripe to start the process.
Stripe will guide you through onboarding, where you'll register an account and provide business details. Follow Stripe's instructions to complete this.
Using Stripe in CloudBridal
After connecting and verifying your Stripe account, go to the Stripe Integration page to enable desired payment areas.
In-Person Credit Card Processing
Enable the Stripe Payments setting to process credit card payments. Payments are added to a customer's profile after a sale. You have two options:
- Manual Card Entry: Enter card information manually. This is simple and useful for phone payments but may incur higher fees.
- Card Reader: Use a BBPOS WisePOS E card reader for faster processing and lower fees.
Example of processing a credit card payment:
- Go to the customer's profile.
- Enter the customer's order if not already done. See Making a Sale for details.
- Click New Payment in the Payments section.
- Enter payment details and select Charge Now With Stripe.
- Choose manual entry or card reader. For manual, enter card info and click Submit Payment. For card reader, use the device to process.
- A confirmation message will appear if successful. If not, retry.

Paid/Reserved Appointments
Enable the Paid Appointments setting to capture payment at booking. Follow these steps:
- Go to Appointment Settings.
- Scroll to Appointment Types.
- Click Edit for each type, go to Payment Settings.
- Select a payment option, enter the fee, and add a disclaimer if needed.
- Click Save. Repeat for each appointment type.
Appointment Charge Options
- Is Paid - Charged at Booking: Charges at booking, useful for deposits or full payments.
- Is Paid - Charged Manually: Charge later, useful for pre-appointment charges.
- Reserve Using Credit Card: Takes card info at booking for no-show fees.
Initiating an Appointment Charge
Initiate charges via the appointment calendar. Click Actions on the appointment and select Charge.
Payment Plans
Enable Payment Plans to allow online installment payments. Customers can pay via:
- Client Portal: If enabled, customers access their portal to view and pay pending payments.
- Payment Reminder Emails: Enable in Payment Settings to send reminders with payment links.
FAQs
What are the processing fees?
Fees include Stripe Fees + [CloudBridal Platform Fee of 0.25%]. Stripe fees vary by payment method. See Stripe Pricing.
Is the Stripe integration available in my country?
Check Stripe Regional Considerations. If your country isn't listed, you can't use Stripe for payments but can manually enter payments in CloudBridal.
How do I refund a payment?
Refunds are done via the Stripe Dashboard. Find the payment and click Refund. This syncs the refund status to CloudBridal.
Are tips supported?
Yes, tips are supported. See Stripe Integration Settings > Accepting Tips on Reader for details.
